Our Story 

My name is Bex, the face behind Maddie & Me Events and Hire Co.
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher by trade and a mum based in Cambridge, N.Z. 

I have always loved event planning and styling, opted to DIY our 2022 wedding and have planned numerous baby showers, parties and gatherings over the years. I often heard of people straying away from celebrating special milestones due to the lack of time for prep work and finding it hard to make their events budget-friendly. Considering those are some of my favourite parts of planning events for myself and others, the more I thought about it and with my husband in my corner supporting me to take the next step, the more the timing felt right to give it a go.

It didn't take us long to come up with the name, which was inspired by our daughter Maddie, who is a real go-getter full of big energy and determination like no other. We decided they were perfect qualities to keep at the forefront as we learnt to build a new business.
Maddie & Me Events and Hire Co officially opened in February 2025.

We are really proud of our work so far and have hired, styled and coordinated a variety of events within the Waikato/BOP regions.​
